Our mission is to protect, preserve, and enhance Washington's land, air, and water for current and future generations.

In support of that mission, Ecology maintains a network of air monitoring stations to measure air pollution around the state in partnership with EPA, tribes, and local clean air agencies.

Ecology and its partners collect accurate and reliable air quality and meteorological data in near real time to track pollution trends and ensure compliance with state and federal law. We use this website to inform the public about air quality and provide guidance that people can use to protect their health when air quality is not good.
